What to expect from a prosthodontist?
Dr Asia is a prosthodontist that offers a range of professional services, including aesthetic dentistry, implants, crowns, bridges and providing ear, nose and ear prostheses. Serving as the ‘architect’ of a dental treatment plan, prosthodontists collaborate with general dentists, specialists and other health professionals to develop solutions to your dental and oral health concerns.
Prosthodontists have a degree in Dentistry with an additional master’s degree in the speciality of prosthodontics. Prosthodontists are highly qualified and trained to treat general restorative needs as well as more complex restorative cases.

About Us
Dr Winifred Asia: BChD (UWC), MChD: Prosthodontics (UWC)
Dr Asia is a Prosthodontist who obtained her undergraduate Dental Degree (BChD) in 2005 at the University of the Western Cape. Additionally, she also obtained her specialist qualification (MChD) in Prosthodontics in 2017 at UWC. Before starting her mater’s studies, she was employed for 12 years as a senior dentist for the Department of Health.
She is currently employed as a specialist consultant and senior lecturer at the University of the Western: Tygerberg and Mitchell’s Plain Oral Health centres. She is involved with the training and lecturing of undergraduate students, with expertise in prosthetic dentistry, implantology, aesthetic dentistry and occlusion.
